London, Feb 2 : Britney Spears is presently going through a detox process at the UCLA Medical Center after reports surfaced that the troubled singer has taken up to ten laxatives a day and a stimulant Adderall used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.
Spears is said to be "ranting and lashing out" at doctors and her mother while undergoing the torturous procedure.
A shocked friend who saw the Toxic singer in hospital said that "she is in hell."
According to hospital sources, Spears, who suffers from bipolar disorder, is experiencing violent mood swings, which include screaming at her mum Lynne and going into a deep depression.
The singer has been locked in a high-risk ward and classified as "gravely disabled", which means she has to get help washing and eating.
Doctors said that they would stabilize her and evaluate her condition before she can be administered new medication to treat her suspected bipolar condition.
"The truth is, she is in hell. She doesn't understand why she's in hospital," The Sun quoted the friend, as saying.
