Alba wants her kid to be a nerd

Pregnant actress Jessica Alba has revealed that she wants her first baby to be a nerd.

Melbourne, Feb 02 : Pregnant actress Jessica Alba has revealed that she wants her first baby to be a "nerd."

The actress said that she does not want her child to follow in her footsteps and look for a career in Hollywood.

Alba, who is currently in her fifth month of pregnancy with fiancé Cash Warren's baby, admitted that she would like her kid to be intelligent rather than cool, insisting that "nerds" are more interesting.

''I want my kid to be a nerd. I want him to be really, really smart. I want them to be in the band or orchestra. No, that's a joke," Moviehole quoted her, as saying.

"I keep telling my fiancé, 'Our kid can't be cool. It has to be a nerd.' They're so much more dynamic," she added.

However, the 'Good Luck Chuck' star has promised to support the child if it chooses to join the Hollywood bandwagon.

"If your child wants to be an actor, though, you kind of want to support them in whatever they want to do," she said.

"But it's not something I'm going to be pushing my kid to do at all. I think it's important for your kids to find their own way and see what moves them," she added.
