No Country for Old Men bagged the outstanding achievement in sound mixing for motion pictures gong at the 44th annual Cinema Audio Society Awards.

Washington, Feb 18 : 'No Country for Old Men' bagged the outstanding achievement in sound mixing for motion pictures gong at the 44th annual Cinema Audio Society Awards.

The Coen Brothers' film won the competition, beating out 'Transformers,' '300,' 'The Bourne Ultimatum' and 'Into the Wild.'

'Living Doll' episode of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' took away the award for sound mixing achievement in a television series.

Other awards went to HBO's 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee' in the television movie series category, 'Species: The Awakening' for DVD original programming and 'The Magic Flute' installation of the 'Great Performances at the Met' series in the non-fiction, variety, or music series/specials category.

Deva recorder bagged the award for production technology achievement while Digidesign Icon Console took away the award for the piece of equipment used in post-production work.

Dennis Sands was honoured with the Career Achievement Award and Bill Condon received the year's filmmaker award.

"No matter how far you're fortunate enough to get in this business, you're going to always work really hard and sometimes you're going to have to sleep on some really crappy studio couches," Variety quoted Sands, as saying.
