Depp, Law, Farrell sign on to complete Ledger movie

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have stepped into their late friend Heath Ledgers role in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus - a film that was left incomplete due to the actors tragic death.

Washington, Feb 16 : Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have stepped into their late friend Heath Ledger's role in 'The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus' - a film that was left incomplete due to the actor's tragic death.

Oscar nominee Ledger was just six weeks from finishing the fantasy movie when he died while on a break, reports Contactmusic.

According to AintItCoolNews.com, the film's director Terry Gilliam was determined to complete the movie, and he therefore asked Depp, Law and Farrell to pay tribute to Ledger by taking turns to play his character in the scenes the Australian actor never got to shoot.

Toxicology results released earlier this month revealed that Ledger died due to an accidental overdose of a deadly cocktail of prescription drugs.

Ellen Borakove, a spokeswoman for the New York City medical examiner's office, said that the cause of death was 'acute intoxication by the combined effects of six different drugs including powerful painkillers, sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication.
