Lindsay Lohan signs up for hearing loss campaign

American actress Lindsay Lohan has become the latest celebrity to join the hearing loss awareness campaign.

Washington, Feb 11 : American actress Lindsay Lohan has become the latest celebrity to join the hearing loss awareness campaign.

Other stars like Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox have also signed themselves up for the cause, posing for singer-turned-photographer Bryan Adams.

Lohan has been photographed for the Hear The World campaign, which also has striking campaign images of Joss Stone and Moby holding their hands to their ears.

Another very keen participant, who has been affected by hearing loss for several years, is Harry Belafonte, who insists that it is very important for people to be more aware of the condition.

"Good hearing is extremely important. It has a lot of impact on personality. I noticed (when my hearing got worse) that my voice changed, and I had to speak more loudly," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

"People thought that I was speaking more aggressively, and I didn't mean to be aggressive at all. I just think people should be very, very conscious and protective of their hearing," he added.
