Alexandra Burke, winner of the fifth series of UK TV talent show The X Factor, has compared herself to the renowned R and B lady Beyonce Knowles, saying they both have an alter ego onstage.
London, December 27 : Alexandra Burke, winner of the fifth series of UK TV talent show 'The X Factor', has compared herself to the renowned R and B lady Beyonce Knowles, saying they both have an alter ego onstage.
Burke revealed that like the multi-million selling Grammy winner, she too becomes "a different person" while performing.
"Beyonce gets on stage and she's Sasha Fierce, then she's different off stage. It's just like me. I get on stage and I'm a different person to what I am off stage," the Sun quoted her as saying.
The 20-year-old Brit, whose prize was a recording contract, estimated at 1 million pounds, with Simon Cowell's Syco record label, further said that she was still struck with the former Destiny's Child singer.
She added: "It was my biggest dream to duet with this woman."
As of 15 December 2008, Burke became the current European record holder for single sales over a period of 24 hours, selling 105,000 copies of her debut single, "Hallelujah", in one day.
