According to studio estimates, romantic comedy 'Four Christmases', starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, came second with 13.3 million dollars, reports E! Online.
Catherine Hardwicke's 'Twilight' landed the third spot after earning 8 million dollars while 'Bolt' stood fourth with 7.5 million dollars.
'Australia', starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, rounded off the top five with 4.3 million dollars.
The top-grossing weekend films are:
