J.Lo adopts punishing workout regime to get back in shape

Jennifer Lopez has adopted a punishing exercise regime to get back to her pre-pregnancy shape.

Melbourne, Apr 09 : Jennifer Lopez has adopted a punishing exercise regime to get back to her pre-pregnancy shape.

According to a report in Closer magazine, the singer/actress, who gave birth to twins Max and Emme on February 22, is getting up at 4am every day in a determined attempt to shed over 20kg in less than a month.

The 'Wedding Planner' star has been undergoing a three-hour daily workout, seven days a week, which means that she has lost 18kg, at a rate of 4kg a week.

Lopez has hired a team of nutritionists and personal trainers to help her get rid of the 25kgs she had put on during the pregnancy, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Her workouts consist of Pilates, a one-hour cardio workout followed by an hour of weight training.

Even though she is undergoing such an extreme and gruelling exercise, the Latin American performer has limited her food intake to 1,400 calories a day and banned all carbohydrates.
