London, April 9 : Mischa Barton has decided to accept a plea deal in her DUI case to avoid any jail time.
Once the deal is made, a charge of marijuana possession on the 22-year-old actress will be dismissed, and another for driving with an invalid license will be reduced to an infraction.
A source said that the former O.C star will be put on unsupervised probation for three years, ordered to attend an alcohol-education course and be fined around 860 pounds.
"That has always been the plan, but we don't know exactly how the deal will go down," The Daily Star quoted the source, as saying.Barton is being represented by attorney Anthony Salemo who negotiated the terms of the plea deal.
