Curtis 50 Cent Jackson is in talks to star in an independently financed drama Spectacular Regret.

Washington, April 9 : Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is in talks to star in an independently financed drama 'Spectacular Regret'.

The rapper turned actor will play a death row inmate whose imminent execution has made him a cause celebre. The drama interconnects with four Angelenos struggling to overcome past events.

The film was scripted by Joshua Leonard, who will make his feature debut as director, reports Variety.

Stars already on board are Danny Huston, John Ortiz and 'Lars and the Kelli Garner.

Financed through private equity, 'Spectacular Regret' will begin shooting in July in L.A.

Peter Sterling and Mary Pat Bentel are producing while Dolly Hall is executive producing.
