London, Apr 4 : Hard rock singer Tommy Lee is all set to star in a new green awareness TV series called Battleground Earth.
The 45-year-old rocker would be seen building houses out of bamboo and racing cars powered by alternative energy sources.
Lee said that he is doing this show for his kids.
"I was definitely not down to do another reality show because we have too many of those and they're stupid," the Daily express quoted him, as saying.
"But I'm doing this for my kids. Environmentalism is a serious sort of subject but you've got to make it fun or you freak people out," he added.
The series is the flagship show of a new American cable TV station called Planet Green, which is expected to be screened later this year.
