Washington, Apr 15 : Singer Ashlee Simpson is not only getting set for her wedding, but as it turns out, also for motherhood.
The singer is said to be expecting her first child with fiance Pete Wentz, reports OK! magazine.
According to the mag, Jessica Simpson's little sister is due to give birth in October this year, and is ecstatic over the news.
"They don't spend a minute apart if they can possibly avoid it and are over the moon about the baby," OK! quoted a pal, as saying.
But that doesn't mean that they will be waiting till after the birth to get married.
"They're planning on something in the Santa Barbara area probably by the end of May," the friend says.
"Ashlee would like to walk down the aisle before she's showing - although she's very cute the way she's always checking out her belly now and asking everyone, 'am I showing yet?'"
The pal added: "Pete may personally design their wedding bands. He designed the diamond and silver 'promise ring' he gave Ashlee last October."
