Washington, Apr 14 : American actress Uma Thurman has revealed that she is till haunted by her "nightmare" split from American actor Ethan Hawke and the media circus it attracted.
The two of them had been married from 1998 to 2004 and when they split they became headline news for months.
Thurman claims that the journalists still grill her about the divorce four years on.
According to her, the break-up was traumatic enough without the interference of the media, which she has blamed for keeping the wounds open for years after.
"It was nightmarish. I never expect things to be easy, but I'm always surprised at how much harder they can be than you expect," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"I still have to answer questions about it, but I hope for the day when those questions don't have to be asked. It's something I want to let go off," she added.
