Keys calls gangsta rap US ploy to get black people to kill each other

American R and B musician Alicia Keys has bizarrely blamed the US government for the deaths of black singers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G

London, Apr 14 : American R and B musician Alicia Keys has bizarrely blamed the US government for the deaths of black singers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G

In a new interview for American music magazine Blender, the singer opened up about her political views and conspiracy theories.

Keys claimed that the US government invented 'gangsta rap' with a purpose.

She said that the rappers' slayings were fuelled by "the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing".

The 27-year-old singer also claimed that the gangsta rap movement never existed, but was created "as a ploy to encourage black people to kill each other".

Keys, who has sold 25 million albums worldwide, believes the government encouraged the 1990s murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.

"The murders were fuelled to stop a great black leader from existing," The Sun quoted her, as telling the magazine.
