London, April 11 : Gwen Stefani has admitted that she used to have a crush on Madness frontman Suggs when she was young.
Stefani also confessed that she ended up in tears when she discovered that Suggs- real name Graham McPherson was married.
The No Doubt star even sent the 47-year-old tickets to her show at Wembley Arena last year hoping to meet her idol.
However, she was left disappointed when the Baggy Trousers hitmaker failed to turn up to her recent concert in London - sending his two daughters in his place.
And Suggs' daughters were left cringing when Stefani stopped the gig and turned the spotlight on the audience asking, "Where's Suggs? I've heard he's here tonight."
But Suggs eventually made it to one of Stefani's concerts, catching up with her on the Prague, Czech Republic, leg of her Sweet Escape tour.
He insists he still can't understand Stefani's obsession with him.
"I think she must have been looking at photographs of me from a long, long time ago," The Daily Express quoted Suggs, as telling Virgin Radio.
