Brit actress Keira Knightley has claimed that stripping for photos was a way of overcoming her insecurities about her body.
London, Sept 9 : Brit actress Keira Knightley has claimed that stripping for photos was a way of overcoming her insecurities about her body.
The Oscar nominated star has posed nude holding just a bowler hat to cover her breasts for a Coco Chanel billboard poster.
The actress, who has been honest about her thin frame, said that she grew up thinking that she looked 'weird' and 'too skinny'.
'When I was 17, 18, 19, I felt incredibly insecure. I went through a period of thinking I looked weird and too skinny, and that's ten times worse when you're being written about,' the Daily Mail quoted her, as telling Vogue magazine.
Discussing the contradiction between her protests about intrusion and baring all for photos, Knightley said that she of course wants to 'have a cake and eat it'.
"Of course I want to have my cake and eat it. Who doesn't want to have their cake and eat it? Show me that person," she added.
