Washington, Sept 07: Actress Anne Heche insists that she never intended to fall in love, but her plans went flying out the window when she met James Tupper, her co-star in the TV series, 'Men In Trees'.
The stars ended their respective marriages after meeting each other.
But while Heche abides by the fact, that, many people would think that they're mad to give up families for a behind-the-scenes romance, she insists on the fact that love is driven by fate, and there is no mistake in two people falling for one another.
"I think people find each other who are kind of similar, and, through talking and sharing, you find that you want to spend more time with them," US magazine.com quoted, as saying.
After romancing lesbian comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and then dumping her for cameraman Coley Laffoon, Heche understands when people think of her as a carefree romantic, but insists on the fact that she has always followed her heart.
"I gotta go where it leads. People are somewhat confused by me and I understand that, but I am also proud that I'm a woman who represents... making difficult choices that bring you to where you want to be," she further added.
Co-star Tupper, who plays her on/off boyfriend on the TV show, admits he was shocked when he realised he was falling for his co-star.
"I'd heard a lot of things about Anne... and I found this wonderful, hard-working, beautiful woman," he said.
