Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino apologised to producers for failure of Grindhouse at the box office.

Washington, Sept 7 : Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino apologised to producers for failure of 'Grindhouse' at the box office.

'Grindhouse' is a collaboration of director Quentin Tarantino and director Robert Rodriguez.

However, Tarantino is proud of the film he made.

'Pulp fiction' director feels sorry for producers the Weinstein Brothers, who invested in the film and could not get the return.

"I called Harvey and Bob and apologised. Not for the movie, because we were all very proud of it, but I apologised that they had spent so much on the movie and that I didn't return their investment," Contactmusic quoted Tarantino, as telling the Empire magazine.
