The sequel to the The Pink Panther will be hitting the big screen under a new name - The Next Pink Panther.
Melbourne, Sept 7 : The sequel to the 'The Pink Panther' will be hitting the big screen under a new name - 'The Next Pink Panther'.
The movie was first titled "Pink Panther 2" but bosses decided that it needed a bit of a change, reports Moviehole.net.
Not changing however is the lead cast with Steve Martin returning as bumbling French inspector Clouseau.
Principal photography on the movie began in Paris on August 20, 2007 and will move to Boston, Massachusetts a couple months in before wrapping in December 2007.
The female lead will be filled by Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai who be appearing as the detective and karate expert, Sophie.
John Cleese replaces Kevin Kline as Chief Inspector Dreyfus with Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer reprising their roles as Ponton and Nicole.
Andy Garcia and Alfred Molina round out the cast as detectives, Vicente and Avellaneda.
