Lionsgate has signed on Mark Helfrich to direct action-thriller Five Killers.
Washington, Sept 7 : Lionsgate has signed on Mark Helfrich to direct action-thriller "Five Killers".
Helfrich made recently made his directing debut with the Jessica Alba-Dane Cook starrer 'Good Luck Chuck' that will hit screen this month.
The script for "Five Killers" has been penned by Bob DeRosa, with Christopher Pratt and Chad Martin producing.
The movie revolves around a former hitman whose seemingly perfect life is thrown upside down when someone from his past puts a hit out on him, reports Variety.
Mark Helfric, an ACE (American Cinema Editor)-certified film editor had edited over thirty films, such as the cult classic Showgirls with Mark Goldblatt. Helfrich is also the primary editor for director Brett Ratner's films, such as Money Talks (1997), Rush Hour (1998), The Family Man (2000), Rush Hour 2 (2001), Red Dragon (2002), and After the Sunset (2004), before he decided to step behind the camera himself with 'Good Luck Chuck'.
