Washington, Sept 7 : Actress Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael Lohan visited her in rehab on ept 5, 2007, at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah.
Lohan's mother Dina confirmed the meeting, saying that it was one way the young star would get 'closure'.
"Lindsay, myself and my son, Michael Jr., agreed that it would be good for her to have some closure with the situation with her dad. It's part of the healing process," People quoted Dina, as saying.
The actress is presently seeking counseling in rehab after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of cocaine.
Access Hollywood reported that this is the first time that father and daughter have met after ichael was released from jail earlier this year in March, after having spent two years in prison in New York.
Michael was found guilty of driving while intoxicated and other disorderly behaviour charges.ina Lohan asserted that she was happy with their meeting and said that she did this for Lindsay.
"I am. I wanted it to happen for Lindsay," Dina said.
"She needed to do this for herself. It's still her father, no matter how you slice it. It's still her dad, and God willing he'll get it," she added.
Michael Lohan's advocate John DiMascio revealed that Lindsay had expressed her wish to see her father.
"Lindsay wanted to see Michael, he went, and he's in Utah," John DiMascio said.
A source closed to Lohan revealed that the Mean Girls star would complete her program at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Centre in approximately two weeks.
