London, Sep 6 : Legendary Italian opera singer Luciano Pavarotti is reported to be in a "very serious" condition after falling unconscious.
The 71-year-old singer's condition deteriorated following his discharge from hospital a fortnight ago after undergoing tests relating to his ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer.
On Sep 5, local TV news stations reported that the tenor was battling death after suffering kidney failure, reports The Sun.
Pavarotti is currently at his home in Modena, around 250 miles North of Rome, where he is surrounded by family and friends.
A spokesperson for the University Policlinico hospital, where the singer was previously treated, has refused to comment on the current status of his health.
Pavarotti underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in New York in July 2006, and has cancelled all public appearances since then.
