Supermodel Claudia Schiffer has blamed actors and singers for the end of supermodel culture.
Washington, Sept 5 : Supermodel Claudia Schiffer has blamed actors and singers for the end of 'supermodel culture'.
The German supermodel said that nowadays models don't enjoy the same fame as before since advertisers have started to prefer Hollywood actresses and pop stars.
Schiffer also said that supermodels like herself, Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford 'don't exist anymore'.
"In order to become a supermodel one must be on all the covers all over the world at the same time so that people can recognise the girls. That is for now, not possible, not least because the advertising industry is very much taken nowadays by pop stars and actresses," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
"Supermodels like we once were don't exist anymore," she added.
