Heath Ledgers father-in-law has confirmed that the actor has split from his baby mama Michelle Williams.
Melbourne, Sept 4 : Heath Ledger's father-in-law has confirmed that the actor has split from his baby mama Michelle Williams.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Larry Williams said that though he was yet to talk to his daughter directly about the split, he had received a call from her mother Carla informing him that Michelle and Heath were calling off their relationship.
"We've known about their troubles for a while but it's always a very difficult thing in life when these things happen," News.com.au quoted Williams, as telling the paper.
"I know Heath and Michelle still care about each other deeply and are very committed to being great parents to their daughter.
"You can never be stunned by what happens in Hollywood - I learned that when we were dealing with Michelle's career when she was younger.
"Michelle was grown up at 16, and just like Heath, her life has had an extremely fast pace to it.
"But they are both very talented artists and they live with their hearts.
"I feel tremendously for her, and for him and hope they will find what they want in life.
"I have a great respect for Heath and I know he cares tremendously for Michelle.
"I was never invited into their world and that's fine, but I care deeply for my daughter and if I can do anything to help her I will.''
According to reports, Ledger and Michelle, who met while filming 'Brokeback Mountain', split amicably several weeks ago.
Reps for the couple however, have not confirmed whether the couple have broken off their relationship.
