Bon Jovis Hamptons party gets spontaneous rock and roll make over

Singer Jon Bon Jovis Hamptons dinner party turned into a memorable rock and roll show.

New York, Sep 4 : Singer Jon Bon Jovi's Hamptons dinner party turned into a memorable rock and roll show.

The singer and his wife, Dorothea, had hosted a party at their East Hampton pad to celebrate the end of summer, but soon the place became a rock and roll summit when their friends, including Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters decided to let their hair down.

To start the show, Bon Jovi jumped onstage at around 11 pm to join the party band, with McCartney Joel, Buffett and Waters not taking too long to join him.

"Billy was wailing on the keyboards. They performed for a good hour of rock classics. Nobody could believe it. Howard Stern was really rocking out," the New York Daily News quoted a guest, as saying.

Although Springsteen had left before the jam, New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine Corzine seemed delighted when Bon Jovi belted out "Who Says You Can't Go Home," the theme song of the New Jersey Tourist Board.

"The governor led people on to the dance floor. The whole thing was spontaneous. It was the first Hamptons party in years that was actually fun," the guest said.

Other guests at the thriving party included Renee Zellwegger, Naomi Watts, Howard Stern, "Today" anchor Matt Lauer, designer Donna Karan, Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner and "Saturday Night Live" producer Lorne Michaels.
