Being born in a political turbulent country like South Africa has made Charlize Theron very politically aware, and has taught her to question authority.
Washington, Sept 23 : Being born in a political turbulent country like South Africa has made Charlize Theron very 'politically aware', and has taught her to question authority.
Theron revealed that she is a keen observer of the U.S presidential elections, and insisted that growing up in South Africa was a reason for it."I'm very politically aware. I don't think I can be one of those people that can walk around with blinders on. I question authority, question what the government is doing, and I think that is an incredibly patriotic thing to do. I think if I didn't care I wouldn't ask any questions," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
"I love America and love living in this country. And I think, maybe coming from a country like South Africa, and being used to political turmoil, that's just the way, I grew up. I think it's important to see and hear what everybody's agendas are."
Charlize Theron is dating actor Stuart Townsend for quite a long time, but when asked about her marriage, she said that she would tie the knot the day same-sex marriages would become legal across America.
