Parkinson brings in Becks for swansong show

British TV host Michael Parkinson has decided to hang up his chat show host boots with an interview with David Beckham.

London, Sept 22 : British TV host Michael Parkinson has decided to hang up his chat show host boots with an interview with David Beckham.

The veteran journalist has spent 36-years fronting his Parkinson show, and has finally decided that the time to quit is here.

Beckham will be flying over from LA after the MLS season to appear on the show.

A source revealed that getting Becks would be a fitting end, for Parkinson has kept an eye on the footballer for some time.

"Parky has taken a keen interest in David's career. He has been on the show a couple of times and Michael has kept an eye on him," The Sun quoted the source, as saying.

However Becks will not be the only on appearing, for also on Parky's finale are Sir Michael Caine and Billy Connolly, with Sir Elton John trying to work out a way he too can join in.
