New York, Sep 2 : Owen Wilson's hospitalisation following his alleged suicide attempt will not delay the opening of his upcoming Wes Anderson film, 'The Darjeeling Limited', say producers.
The movie, co-starring Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman, revolves around three brothers on a train voyage across India.
The producers of the film have declared that there will be no changes in the original schedules.
The movie will hit the theatres next month on schedule following screenings at the Venice Film Festival next week and the New York Film Festival on Sept. 28.
"After a discussion between the cast and filmmakers, all have agreed that 'The Darjeeling Limited' will open as planned on Sept. 29," the New York Daily News quoted a spokeswoman for Fox Searchlight as saying.
Meanwhile Wilson has dropped out of DreamWorks' ensemble comedy 'Tropic Thunder' a few days after attempting to commit suicide at his LA home.The actor slashed his wrists, and reportedly took an overdose of pills over the weekend. He was found by his brother who quickly alerted the cops, after which Wilson was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.Wilson began shooting 'Tropic Thunder' six weeks ago in Hawaii but has now opted out of it as he recovers.
