Romantic proposal by Knight ends in wife romping topless with a vet!

London, Sept 15: It seemed to be a marriage made in heaven when Douglas St George Smith, a millionaire businessman, put on a suit of armour, mounted a white steed and proposed to his loving girlfriend.

But it all ended after he caught her wife, Karen, "romping topless" with a vet, Acton.

"I saw Karen and him intertwined on the bed." The Sun quoted him, as telling JPs.

"They were involved in heavy petting. The red mist must have come down and I said 'right' and flew at Peter Acton. He's a big bloke, bigger than me, but I dragged him across the floor," he said.

However, Karen defended herself by telling JPs that she and Acton were not lovers and were, just chatting when her husband turned up.

"I was not semi-naked and not without my bra," she explained.

She also accused her husband of hitting the vet and also claimed that her husband injured her by grabbing her arm.Douglas has been convicted for assaulting his wife for which he was fined 800 pounds, and ordered to pay a compensation of 200 pounds to his wife.
