London, Sept 11: Hollywood's successful actress, Jodie Foster, confesses that even after 41 years of facing the camera, she still finds it an exhausting task to shake off the "nasty residue" of the dark roles she plays.
The 'Silence of the Lambs' star admitted that though she doesn't like to admit to the fact, she has difficulty disconnecting from such characters.
"I don't like to admit it," Daily Express quoted her, as saying.
"People who know me on set would be really surprised to hear me say this because I joke and laugh and drink coffee. I'm not some broody person," she added.
"But there is a whole bunch of stuff that I don't like to talk about. That is the sort of lonely experience of being obsessed and impassioned by film and you live it because you are doing it so many times a day," she added.
"You have this huge well of feeling. Strangely enough, the thing that is really heartbreaking and really wells it all up is when the movie is released.
"When I look on the screen and I see the movie, it's not like I see a different person. It's hard to have to defend the movie because you were there," she added.
