London, Oct 8 : If there is one thing that gives Michael Douglas the shivers, it would be the sight of a woman with hairy armpits.
The movie legend reveals that the first time he saw a woman with hair under her armpits was when he was a 16-year old boy.
The experience, says Douglas, left him scarred for life.
"One summer I had this eastern European woman. It was a shock. It sticks in my mind," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
"This is kind of silly, but I was just 16 and I just never thought women had hair under their arms," he added.
Douglas was most recently seen on the big screen in 'King Of California' in which he stars alongside Evan Rachael Wood as her father.
The Mike Cahill directed film premiered January 24, 2007 at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and opened in limited release in North American on September 14, 2007.
He will soon be returning as Gordon Gekko in a sequel to 'Wall Street'. Douglas' role in the original pic won him an Oscar for Best Actor in 1998.
