Eddie Murphy is in final talks to star in new DreamWorks comedy A Thousand Words.

Washington, Oct 4 : Eddie Murphy is in final talks to star in new DreamWorks comedy "A Thousand Words."

The deal will see Murphy reuniting with Brian Robbins, who directed him in DreamWorks' "Norbit", as well as the upcoming 20th Century Fox film "Starship Dave".

The plot of a "A Thousand Words" revolves around a glib man who finds out that he has only 1,000 words left to speak before he dies.

Steve Koren has penned screenplay for the pic, with Alain Chabat, Stephanie Danan, Nicolas Cage and Norm Golightly producing, reports Variety.

Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett are expected to join the producers' bandwagon via Robbins' DreamWorks-based Varsity Pictures shingle.

Murphy is currently shooting the comedy "Nowhereland" for Paramount Pictures.
