Jason Statham to reprise Crank 2: High Voltage hitman role

Actor Jason Statham will play the role of hit man Chev Chelios once again in Crank 2: High Voltage.

Washington, Oct 30 : Actor Jason Statham will play the role of hit man Chev Chelios once again in 'Crank 2: High Voltage'.

In 'Crank 2,' Chelios will face a Chinese mobster who steals his nearly indestructible heart and replaces it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

The film will be written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the team that created the sleeper hit "Crank," reports Variety.

Entertainment giants Lionsgate and Lakeshore will handle North American distribution and international distribution, respectively.

Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Skip Williamson and Richard Wright will be producing the movie.

'Crank', which was released in 2006, starred Amy Smart, Efren Ramirez, and Dwight Yoakam, besides Statham.
