Alfie paid for Jude Laws divorce

Jude Law was not upset when his movie Alfie bombed at the box-office, as it paid for his divorce from then wife Sadie Frost.

London, Oct 26 : Jude Law was not upset when his movie 'Alfie' bombed at the box-office, as it paid for his divorce from then wife Sadie Frost.

The 34-year old star told Empire magazine that 'Alfie' was a movie of its time and it wouldn't work in present times.

"It proved that the film was more a film of its time and it didn't work now. But there's no point playing safe all the time," the Mirror quoted him, as telling the magazine.

Law also said that he did the movie as he was paid a lot of money, thanks to which he was not left penniless after his divorce.

"And Alfie paid me more money than any other film's ever paid. You know, paid for my divorce!" he said.
