Washington, Oct 17 : Singer Lionel Richie is reportedly house hunting for his pregnant daughter Nicole Richie.
The Simple Life star is expecting her first child with beau Joel Madden in January 2008.
A source revealed that the socialite doesn't want to raise her kid in Madden's bachelor pad.
The source added that Nicole wants to live close to both her parents while she is expecting her baby.
"She recently leased out her West Hollywood condo, and, while she likes living at Joel's bachelor pad in Glendale, she doesn't want to raise her baby in the Valley," Contactmusic quoted the source, as telling In Touch magazine.
The source also said that the singer wants is daughter to stay in a gated community
"Nicole wants to live close to both of her parents while she gets ready to have the baby. Lionel wants Nicole to be safe, and he thinks a gated community is best," the source added.
" Reports suggest the Richies are currently looking at a 7 million dollars (GBP3.5 million) villa in Century City, Los Angeles," the source said.
