Washington, Oct 12 : Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon left people guessing about whether or not they are a couple during the premiere of their new film 'Rendition.'
The on-again-off-again couple avoided eye contact on the red carpet and spent the night clinging to their own groups at the event, held at NYC's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Oct 10.
"At the after party they were both doing their own thing. They had friends with them and just hung out with them," Usmagazine.com quoted an eyewitness as saying.
Another onlooker added that the co-stars came into contact just for a photograph and did not even talk to each other.
"They didn't even talk to each other at the post-reception except when a photographer pulled them together for a picture with the director-and he was standing in between them," the onlooker said.
