Christina Aguilera admits she was terrified for the life of her unborn child when she found out she was pregnant while still on tour.
Washington, Nov 29 : Christina Aguilera admits she was terrified for the life of her unborn child when she found out she was pregnant while still on tour.
The singer was on her seven-month 'Back to Basics' tour when she learnt that she and hubby Jordan Bratman would soon be becoming parents.
However, she was terrified that something would go wrong during the tour and she would lose the baby.
"I was paranoid. There are so many things that could go wrong - somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall. There was no way in hell I was going to jeopardise my baby for my show," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
However, her fears eased when doctors suggested she wear a carefully hidden heart monitor in case of emergency.
And while Aguilera didn't tell her fans that she was pregnant, she did break the news to her band and dancers just to make sure they were real careful with, and around.
"I didn't want to make the audience uncomfortable, like, 'Pregnant lady onstage! Is she going to be okay?' But I had to announce it to my band and my dancers, because I wanted to make sure they had my back," she said.
The singer is due to give birth early next year. The baby will be the first for her, and her hubby Bratman.
