Streisand to back Hilary in US presidential elections

In the upcoming campaign to find a new U.S. Democratic presidential candidate, Barbara Streisand has decided to back ormer U.S. First Lady Hillary Clinton.

Washington, Nov 28 : In the upcoming campaign to find a new U.S. Democratic presidential candidate, Barbara Streisand has decided to back ormer U.S. First Lady Hillary Clinton.

The decision was made a day after Oprah Winfrey announced that she would be joining Barak Obama on the campaign trail next month (Dec07).

Streisand had given the three leading Democrats, Obama, Clinton and John Edwards, hefty campaign donations last month (Oct07), but she has now decided to stick with just one presidential candidate.

"Hillary Clinton has already proven to a generation of women that there are no limits for success," Contactmusic quoted Streisand, as saying in her statement.

"Hillary is a powerful voice for change as we find our country at an important crossroads. Under her leadership, our country will regain its respect within the global community," she added.

A fierce opponent of President George W. Bush's regime, Streisand adds, "After eight long years, the public will once again have faith in their government."
