Nicole Richie has opened up about her pregnancy and has revealed that being pregnant has helped mend her broken relationship with her biological mother and bond with her dad Lionel Richie.
Washington, Nov 28 : Nicole Richie has opened up about her pregnancy and has revealed that being pregnant has helped mend her broken relationship with her biological mother and bond with her dad Lionel Richie.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the reality TV star revealed that when she learnt about her pregnancy, she decided to resolve all issues with her parents.
"When I found out that I was pregnant, there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I've had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I've put them through a lot," People quoted Richie, as saying.
The 25-year-old actress added that she has spent time bonding with boyfriend Joel Madden's mum.
As for her dad, Lionel Richie, Nicole says all he talks about is the baby.
"(The baby) is all he talks about, actually," she said.
She added that he definitely doesn't want the baby to call him 'grandpa.'
Although most of the gifts at Richie's Nov. 19 baby shower hinted that the couple is expecting a boy, she said that neither she nor Madden know the sex of the baby.
"I like to know everything. If he wasn't at every doctor's appointment, I probably would have found out by now just behind his back and not told him," she said.
The 'Simple Life' star also revealed that she and Madden are holding off on planning their marriage.
"I got to hold something for when I get older. I can't have everything happen in one year," she said.
