London, Nov.27 : Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch's to be wife and model, Abbey Clancy, is launching a pop career after signing a big money record deal.
The 21-year-old model sang with struggling pop act Genie Queen before finding fame on hit reality show Britain's Next Top Model.
Now, according to The Sun, she is working with leading music guru Gordon Charlton at Universal Records and the pair is plotting an assault on the charts.
"Abbey is determined to launch herself as a big pop star. She's currently doing the rounds looking for songs that sound like 'early Madonna," said an insider at the label.
Abbey's relaunch comes at the perfect time with the music industry bracing itself for the re-emergence of pop after so much of indie music.
