Animal activists furious as Madge dyes sheep for photoshoot!

American singer Madonna created a fury among the animal rights activists by dyeing her sheep in different colours for a photo shoot of a magazine.

London, Nov 27: American singer Madonna created a fury among the animal rights activists by dyeing her sheep in different colours for a photo shoot of a magazine.

The Grammy award winner dyed the coats of sheep on her country estate in blue, pink, yellow and green for snaps in Vogue magazine.

The RSPCA termed the incident as an "irresponsible publicity stunt" and said that it would provoke more such incidents.

"Why is it necessary and what are they trying to prove?" The Sun quoted a RSPCA spokesperson, as saying.

"It sends out the wrong message about how to use animals. Even if the dye is safe for the animals, others might copy it with an unsafe dye," he added.

However, Madge and film director hubby Guy Ritchie, clarified by saying that they were paying homage to famous snapper Cecil Beaton who used to live in their Ashcombe estate in Wiltshire during the 1930s and 1940s.
