Lennon illustrated Budgie card up for sale

A card illustrated by John Lennon is all set to go on sale this Christmas.

London, Nov 23 : A card illustrated by John Lennon is all set to go on sale this Christmas.

The yellow Fat Budgie picture was first used on the charity Oxfam's cards during Beatlemania in 1965.

The image was originally used in Lennon's book, A Spaniard in the Works, and will be reprinted for the first time with Yoko Ono's permission.

According to Times Online, the Cards will be costing around 2.99 pounds and will be sold in limited editions in Oxfam shops.

However, Ono has already ordered 200 cards to be sent out this Christmas.

John lennon was a multi-faceted personality, as songwriter, graphic artist, author and a peace activist, who gained worldwide fame as one of the founders of The Beatles.
