Bonds Aston Martin moving out of Britain 93yrs on

British carmaker Aston Martin, famous for manufacturing James Bonds cars, is all set to make history by building a luxury performance vehicle outside the country for the first time in 93 years.

London, November 23 : British carmaker Aston Martin, famous for manufacturing James Bond's cars, is all set to make history by building a luxury performance vehicle outside the country for the first time in 93 years.

The Warwickshire-based carmaker is looking for potential sites in Italy, Germany, Austria, and Finland for its new four-door Rapide.

The new sporty car will come with a speed of 190mph and a room in the back for children. It is likely to cost around 95,000 pounds.

All the foreign sites which Aston Martin has considered so far have a track record of producing high-performance cars like the Porsche Boxter.

"The decision has apparently already been made in principle. It has been driven mainly by Aston Martin's spectacular revival since the turn of the millennium, which has left it with no spare capacity to build the Rapide in the UK," the Daily Mail quoted John Griffiths, a motor industry expert, as saying.

The Rapide is expected to go on sale in 2009. It was recently described on BBC television's Top Gear programme as "the best way to get three girls to go out with you".

Aston Martin, owned by Kuwaiti investors who bought it from Ford earlier this year, first tried to market a four door car at the 1927 Motor Show in London, and used the Rapide name for a saloon just before World War II.
