Washington, Nov 22 : Troubled star Britney Spears has adopted a new British accent for conducting her businesses.
Her pals claim that the pretence is all part of the singer's preparation for an upcoming film role.
But those who are dealing with the 25-year-old fear that it is just another oddity in the long line of her bizarre ways.
A source, who is trying to finalise a date for Spears' delayed new video shoot, said that the accent was bit annoying.
"It's very distracting. It seems she is using a British accent when she talks to people outside her circle of friends. One of her people claimed she was studying for a film role," Contactmusic quoted the source, as saying.
Spears was scheduled to shoot her new video, Piece of Me, on Nov 16, but production was postponed until Nov. 19, now it will take place after Nov 25.
The source told WENN, "Location scouts are still trying to find a club in Los Angeles for the shoot. "The video is very hush-hush, but I understand it will feature scenes of Britney trying to escape the clutches of the paparazzi."
