Sir Michael Caine doesnt envy Jude Laws tabloid popularity

Sir Michael Caine has confessed that though he swears by Jude Laws talent, he does not envy the tabloid pressure faced by his Sleuth co-star.

Washington, Nov 20 : Sir Michael Caine has confessed that though he swears by Jude Law's talent, he does not envy the tabloid pressure faced by his Sleuth co-star.

Caine, who shares the screen space with Law in the new movie, revealed that stars of his generation didn't have to face the paparazzi pressure like today's celebrities.

"No, I never did. All we ever met was a few reporters and they were usually more drunk than we were," Contactmusic quoted Caine, as saying.

"It's tough for Jude. You're taking your kids to school at seven o'clock in the morning and there's 20 photographers standing outside your house.

"Jude is very devoted to his children and he's trying to bring them up normally. And to have 100 pictures taken of you when you're on your way into school, it's very tough," he added.

Sir Michael also talked about his new compilation album, Cained, a chill-out CD he was inspired to make by friend Sir Elton John.

"I was having dinner at Elton John's and he was playing background music. And I kept naming the artist, you know, 'That's Sarah McLachlan,'" he said.

"And he said 'How do you know all these people?' and I said I make my own CDs of chill or lounge music they call it sometimes, and he said 'Why don't you do one for us?'" he added.
