Actor Johnny Depp has revealed that every single millisecond of life has been a mini-celebration for him after his eight-year-old daughter Lily-Roses recovery from a health scare earlier this year.
London, Nov 2 : Actor Johnny Depp has revealed that 'every single millisecond' of life has been a 'mini-celebration' for him after his eight-year-old daughter Lily-Rose's recovery from a health scare earlier this year.
The 44-year-old actor, without going into details about his daughter's illness, admitted that he can't be thankful enough that she pulled through.
"Now every single millisecond is a mini-celebration," Daily Snack quoted Depp, as telling Entertainment Weekly magazine.
"Every time we get to breathe in and exhale is a huge victory. She pulled through beautifully, perfectly, with no lasting anything," he added.
The little girl was hospitalised to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for three weeks, where she received treatment for an undisclosed ailment as her father started work on movie musical 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'.
Depp has revealed that he will always be grateful to director pal Tim Burton and the cast and crew of 'Sweeney Todd' for their support.
"To say it was the darkest moment, that's nothing. It doesn't come close to describing it. Words are so small. But knowing that those people, Tim and the crew, shut down and stood by and waited ... I didn't know if I was coming back. I remember talking with Tim, saying, 'Maybe you need to recast'," he said
"Once we were given the all-clear, I had to dive back into the work. I had to get back in there for Tim," he added.
Lily-Rose is Depp's daughter by long-time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. The couple also has a son, Jack, who is 5-years-old.
'Sweeney Todd' is set for limited release in the US next month.
