Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has backed a campaign opposing the closure of Lower Heswall Post Office.

London, Nov 19 : Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has backed a campaign opposing the closure of Lower Heswall Post Office.

The 65-year-old rocker has written a letter to back his 63-year-old brother Mike's campaign to save the post office.

The message will be read out at the threatened post office.

"Paul's been coming to stay at his home here for over 40 years," The sun quoted Mike, as saying.

"Like everyone else he pops in for milk and to post letters. He wanted to do what he could," he added.
