Actor Ewan McGregor has revealed that he used to turn up drunk for acting jobs while battling a booze problem.

London, Nov 18 : Actor Ewan McGregor has revealed that he used to turn up drunk for acting jobs while battling a booze problem.

The Star Wars hero said that he eventually realized his mistake and decided to quit before it ruined his career and personal life.

"I felt it was time to stop. I had drunk enough is the truth - I had my share, your share and everyone's share," the Mirror quoted him, as telling Michael Parkinson.

"There comes a point, and it was quite a clear point for me.

"Things were going to start going downhill with my work and every other aspect of my life. It was the thing that was expendable," he added. e also revealed how he managed to work while drunk by downing more, adding: "It's the road to ruin."
