Gervais chubby appearance bags roles Cruise wouldnt get

British funny man, Ricky Gervais, is pleased with his chubby frame and ordinary looks as it bags him more roles than Tom Cruise.

Washington, Nov 15 : British funny man, Ricky Gervais, is pleased with his chubby frame and ordinary looks as it bags him more roles than Tom Cruise.

Gervais, who refuses to curb his diet, insists that his lacklustre appearance bags him roles, which good-looking Hollywood actors would never consider.

The 46-year-old is confident he is better off because there are more parts that are suited to his body shape.

"There's no one competing for roles with me. I write them for me. I hand out the roles. I often write myself a part of a short, fat man from Reading (England). Tom Cruise would have to put weight on for that - he can do the accent but his teeth are wrong", Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
