Singer Amy Winehouse has vowed to stand by hubby Blake Fielder-Civil over his trial-fixing arrest.
London, Nov 10 : Singer Amy Winehouse has vowed to stand by hubby Blake Fielder-Civil over his trial-fixing arrest.
The 24-year-old singer insists that Fielder-Civil is innocent and has pledged to support Fielder-Civil no matter what happens.
"He's told me he's done nothing wrong and I believe him. Someone has set him up but whatever happens I'll be there for him," The Sun quoted Winehouse, as saying.
Winehouse had an emotional get-together with mum-in-law Georgette Civil at a pal's East London flat following Fielder-Civil's arrest on Nov 8.
As the singer wept she told Georgette: "I love him and just want him home."
Hair salon boss Georgette, who lives in Newark, Notts, with husband Giles, said: "He would never try to fix his trial. It's just ridiculous. I know that and Amy knows that.
"Blake's been in custody all day. I managed to speak to him on the phone and he told me not to worry. Amy's totally distraught.
"She kept saying to me, 'I love him. He's done nothing wrong'. She was really upset because she couldn't go and visit him. Amy has told me she'll stand by Blake whatever happens," she added.
Blake Fielder-Civil was arrested over an alleged plot to fix his upcoming assault trial.
The charges he is facing carry a maximum punishment of life imprisonment.
